We couldn’t have done it without you!
ELF Market thanks its 2011 sponsors at Decatur’s Wahoo! Grill.
Food from local restaurants, including Steinbeck’s, Noodle, Home Grown, and Erbert & Gerbert’s, to name a few, was featured alongside festive drinks, friendly chatter, and exciting updates about our successes and what’s next in 2012.
We celebrated the success of the market–nearly doubling the amount of vendors and visitors at market along with a 44% sales increase.
Most importantly though, we celebrated our sponsors. Without their support, we wouldn’t be where we are today!

Can we get a “hell yeah” for Ale Yeah!?
Recently Ale Yeah! hosted the New Belgium Fat Tire Bike raffle and raised $548.00 for the market.
The winning ticket, Tommy Bass from Americus Georgia, was drawn on Labor Day and presented at Ale Yeah’s store location—906 W College Ave in Decatur.
We couldn’t think of a more deserving winner than Tommy Bass. tbass, as he is commonly referred to, is a decorated Vietnam Veteran, U.S.Marine Corps, who was awarded the Purple Heart three times for being wounded in combat. tbass is also a beer lover. He has been brewing beer at home since the spring of 1969, and he played a role in getting the legislation passed to make home brewing and microbreweries legal in the U.S. “My favorite beer and the one I brew the most often is Steam Beer, which is brewed at a warmer temperature than most beers. When I found Ale Yeah, I couldn’t be happier because brewing is my passion, and now I have folks to share it with,” says Tommy.

In partnership with Jayme Persons, the Marketing Team Leader, and the Marketing Team, ELF Market had a fantastic time speaking with customers about the market. We even had a mini-market where customers could get a first-hand look at our farmers and vendors. We can’t thank WFM enough for their generous donation and continuous support of promoting community through food!
